E-Reputation mitigates a Gym’s negative feedback

We here at E-Reputation strive to rebuild your reputation if tarnished, improve upon it if stagnant, and maintain your online reputation if currently in a positive light. One recent case study in particular, is a great example of our strategic process and because we are a reputation changer.

A recent project with a boutique gym was needed due to an anonymous reputation assailant creating false information online. The unfortunate reality in this day and age is that with mass access to the internet, essentially anyone to create and post defamatory information online, with no oversight or accountability.

RipOffReport.com is one site in particular that garners negativity, and due to it’s high Google Page Ranking, posts on this website usually rise in the ranks on Google searches.

Our client had a negative Rip Off Report posting, which appeared whenever anyone did a Google search for the name of their brand name, at the in the second ranking — just below the listing for the clients’ official website! This can be absolutely devastating emotionally, and financially as reports such as these, (whether true or false) can have a significant impact on your business, and your state of mind.

We had to approach this strategically and immediately. Our first step was to find key phrases that could create problems, as well as alternative variations of those phrases.

We then ran test using Google keywords software, to find the particular key phrase that where most hazardous to the brand’s online image.

Since the client was also specific to a geographic location, we used variations of the location name as well including city and state (including different spellings and abbreviations).

We then created a list of suitable key phrases, so we could then rate the key phrases accordingly. Number of searches as well as how hazardous each phrase was was acknowledged. Content creation as well as the many other facets of Reputation management were then considered.

Much information already appeared online regarding the retirement community, however it was primarily neutral, not good or bad. Our tactic was not just to suppress the negative links, but also to replace them with content that was praising, positive, not to mention truthful. We created five websites, ten profiles, video, press releases, articles and other various online content based on a tailored online reputation plan.

Within just six months the RipOffReport.com post was pushed down to the seventh page on Google. The Gym’s profits immediately rose due to the removal of then Rip Off Report, but most importantly, the client now has a peace of mind.
